Software Engineer
This position is responsible for developing and testing internal and external web-based applications. The position is also responsible for participating in the analysis and selection of software packages, as well for the customization and integration of commercial, custom, and open source software. Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 3 years experience in software development and methodology, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills for the software engineer position includes or requires knowledge of one or more of the following: Programming languages: C, C#, Java, Javascript; Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL; Environments: Linux, Microsoft Windows, J2EE; Misc. Languages: ASP.Net, JSP, HTML, XML; working knowledge of Web services, Web parts, and portlets (JSR-168) is a plus; knowledge of BPM tool sets is a plus.
911 Analyst
This position performs routine tasks associated with E9-1-1 database maintenance, and is responsible for customer satisfaction and account maintenance. Responsibilities include: Acts as a focal point for customers reporting 9-1-1 troubles and issues, answers telephone calls daily from customers and responds to all voicemail messages in a timely manner and resolves No Record Found incidents, updates TN records per manual updates received, updates MSAG records, researches and resolves inquiries submitted by customers, refers 9-1-1 problems when appropriate and follows up on referrals according to established guidelines, uses all products and tools required for account maintenance, and files paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Minimum qualifications include: High School diploma and 1 year experience with data collection and data entry; or equivalent customer service experience in a 9-1-1 or Telecom environment preferred, a working comprehension of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) plus MS Access and MS Project and excellent customer service skills.
Network Engineer II - VoIP
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 5 years network experience; or equivalent experience. Experience in design, implementation, and operations of wide-area networks; incorporating modems; CSUs; DSUs; DS-1 termination equipment including multiplexers and channel banks; Ethernet concentrators; terminal servers; and associated equipment, experience working at the bit/byte level with industry standard protocols, experience with all types of data communications test equipment, including analog and digital transmission test equipment, protocol analyzers, telecommunications analog, WAN, and LAN. Experience with the installation and support of Cisco and Linksys routers and hubs.
